New Book On Women Offenders (03-13-01)

On Mon, 12 Mar 2001, longtime CERJ correspondent Katherine van Wormer (vanworme@csbs.csbs.uni.edu) of the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Northern Iowa published a new book entitled: Counseling Female Offenders and Victims -- A Strengths-Restorative Approach is out.  It's the first book to relate restorative justice to women's issues, as a primary focus. Original and new data from a national survey of women's prison wardens is
included as is shocking material on the continuing sexual abuse of inmates.

The book is available from www.springerpub.com or contact Katherine van Wormer, University of Northern Iowa by email at vanworme@csbs.csbs.uni.edu
